Grades 3-5 Contest Guidelines & Information (2014-2015)

MARC Poster, Poem or Letter Contest Guidelines


(Grades 3-5 in Massachusetts)

Each entry should be submitted in response to ONE of the questions from the student’s grade level. Third graders should respond to a third grade question, fourth graders to a fourth grade question, etc.

  1. POEMS/LETTERS may be authored by one to two children.
  • They should not exceed two pages long (handwritten).

 

  1. POSTERS may be submitted in two sizes:
  • SMALL posters do not exceed 11”x17” and may be submitted by one to three children.
  • LARGE posters exceed 11”x17” and may be submitted by up to ten children.
  • ALL POSTERS must be accompanied by identifying information (below) and a descriptive paragraph.

 


Each entry MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION WRITTEN ON IT:

The child’s or children’s FULL name(s), The teacher’s name, School name and town.


PLEASE DOUBLE-CHECK THIS. EVERY YEAR WE RECEIVE WONDERFUL ENTRIES THAT WE CANNOT IDENTIFY AS THEY HAVE NO NAME, SCHOOL, OR TOWN ON THEM!
